The Leadville Train

Leadville is about 10,600 feet above sea level.

And two lonesome clouds. How blue can the sky get? Nice color with the engine which brings out the reds in the grasses and soil. I think I'm diggin' this shot.

Hopefully in the place where I live will be used this very good kind of transportation..

Very cool. Leadville is in the history books.
Is it hard to breath up that high? MB

P.S. You are right, the buffalo shot was scanned from a film photo.

Ah, 10K feet up, you're closer to the sky... Don't know the first thing about trains, but this looks like a beaut.

I see I missed some good posts. I've seen Leadville a couple of times, but I don't remember it in good weather. The first visit, I don't remember at all. My great-grandparents were married there in 1881, and I remember seeing the marriage certificate, which was written in purple ink, if you can believe that! Thanks for the visit :)
