Indeed this is a charming barn. And I like the painted effect.

Re our house search: It seems that we are going to get the townhouse. It actually has quite a few advantages over the first home we really liked. It's bigger, has more storage and is convenient to both downtown and where my husband works. Plus, right across the street there is a street called Halcyon Lane! I am seeing a new blogger profile pic in my future. :)

Wow, how unusual. It doesn't look like any American barn I've ever seen. I would think European style, but maybe not really. Anyway, interesting for sure.
