Colorado in Color
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.

Jacob and Lois - Glad you made it home safely. That's a long trip. Great color in your shot of the [I assume] Aspen trees.
Re your comments on PCADP, yes, I think I did feel my ears burning on a couple of occasions in the last few weeks. And as far as the lights going out in Georgia, it wasn't funny at the time. I can laugh about it now tho.
I look forward to more great shots of Colorado. We lived in the Springs on three separate occasions when in the 80's.
Jacob, this will be fun. I lived for eight years in Palisade, on the other side of the Great Divide. Due to circumstances at the time, we didn't get over the mountains very often. It's an incredibly beautiful state, so I'm looking forward to seeing your photos. I think I like the idea of having a separate blog for a trip like this - but don't let me think too much about that idea!

Can you believe the different layers here? Tree covered mountains, sand, vegetation, then water! Amazing!
I've never been to The Great Sand Dunes, but I've vacationed other places in Colorado! So very beautiful there!!!
The mountains are so incredible. I tried once to walk on those sand dunes and it ain't easy!
Beautiful sand dunes. I walked on sand dunes in WA - it's hard work going 'uphill'. Glad to see you're back safely from your holiday.
Brings back memories. We camped here at the Dunes when our kids were small. Had a great evening lecture and my son and DH made a hike up the dunes and back. Your photos are great!
Welcome home, Jacob and Louise. I'll be here to enjoy your gorgeous trip through your awesome lenses... And what a stunning way to start. 4000 miles is long - and my kind of road trip, for sure! - but you didn't have to go to Mongolia to get the stunning long views.
