Denise picked a doozie to prop up! There are a lot of amazing boulders in them-thar hills. Run up to Swinging Rock in Turret the next time you're in Salida!
Me? Visit CO in the dead of winter to visit and take photos of Christmas lights? No. Thank. You. Period.
As for the heart sculpture, all your guesses are good ones but quite wrong. It is made of metal. It's polished and has a brushed texture. It can also be turned 360 degrees, but I haven't even touched it ... yet. :)
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.
Enjoy!
