Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.

Interesting scenery in this one in regard to the coloration.
beautiful.. very little vegetation is there..

So pretty! Interesting how the water is such an intense blue further back. I see there are lots of "sticks" for playing fetch with dogs. :)
Were there once trees around it? It looks so bare and devastated somehow. The blue is gorgeous.

Looks like the water level is really low... maybe it'll rain soon & fill back up!
