I didn't expect the . . . uh . . . Chinese Baroque of that last building. The others look a lot like the buildings in Palisade where I lived, but obviously Salida is a bigger town! I love seeing these pix.
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.
Enjoy!

I love American downtowns and this is no exception!
Salida appears to be a charming old town. Lovely buildings, I especially like the details above the windows in the last shot.
[Jacob, OF COURSE we will take you to Lake Taal when you come visit! Your bedroom awaits you.]
Such a quaint little town. I'd love to visit!
It's like watching American movie:)
I love this place!
Super shots--I love the old western feel. Any dates on the buildings? Specially the Sandusky.

Great buildings, very interesting architecture.
I always look at all the old buildings where ever we go, and think how hard people worked to make them beautiful.
Such a pretty town! They really have taken care of their historic buildings.
