Colorado in Color
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.

A couple of happy people.
Re your comments about the concrete leaves, I was wondering the same thing...nature or design. Probably nature, because they only found in one section.

Those hard hat decorations are priceless!
I don't remember the fancy hats when I was there. They do seem happy. You must have charmed them. I can hardly think of a more boring job! You must have made their day.
Hah! My sister living on the coast of BC north of Vancouver used to do this. The pay was terrific!
[Jacob, now you be nice! :-D The woman in my photo was probably not "feeling the fruit" but as a title it rolls off the tongue better than street vendor selling unidentified yellow fruit. Don't you agree? Hehehe.]
All highway workers are women?!
I did not give that question seriosly.
