I doubt you were on your way to the ski lifts when you took this photo, Jacob... but perhaps the resort has nice hiking trails? When it was off-skiing season, we used to go walking up in Grouse Mountain by Vancouver and it gave an awesome view of Greater Vancouver below.
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.
Enjoy!

It's funny to see these things with no snow, but not so funny in a year when it's winter and there ISN'T enough snow.
How long do you have to stop before the snow arrives. MB
Now that really looks like a mountain cabin. So beautiful!

I like the A-frame building. Somehow it seems very at-home in a mountain area.
Hello!
Beautiful place and photo!
You are very kind!
From Salida, this is my landmark to slow down and take the next right to my brother's campground!
