Off in the distance you can see a house on top of a mountain which is at about 9,000 feet above sea level. This house is for sale.
The nearest piece of civilization is Cotopaxi at 6,500 feet, 8-10 miles away. Cotopaxi is an itsy-bitsy town which consists of a few houses, a convenience store and gas station, church, school, liquor store, post office, sheriff's substation and a real estate office.
If you're interested in purchasing this place, take CR12 (just across from the convenience store), and head north. After about 4 miles the road turns to dirt but it's well-graded and an easy drive. Before long you'll see a "For Sale" sign leading to a trail (also dirt) which leads straight up the mountain. Take a left, say a prayer, and head up - about 2,000 more feet.
Must be a summer place. I don't think there is any way to get up that trail in the winter!

Along time ago, my husband wanted a place like this. He even indicated that we could have a snowmobile to get us to the 'main' road in winter. Sure glad I changed his mind. I like the outdoors, but I have my limits.
I'll take it! Well, I would take it if I could ever win the d*&% lottery.
I scrolled down to see the hummingbird photos and they are great. I like the way that one little one held his ground on the feeder.
Love the Royal Gorge photos too!
This shows the beauty of the area very nicely. If I lived at that altitude, I'd probably have to pull one of those oxygen tanks on wheels behind me! Cotopaxi has a nice bridge over the Arkansas River, too! Just not quite as high as the Royal Gorge Bridge. :)
It looks kinda sad out there not even a tree to shelter it. I bet it stays for sale for quite awhile.
I did take down your directions just in case though.

There are days I would love to move in to such a remote place epecially with such a view!
Beutiful:)
Have a lovely Sunday!
Now don't show this to my man. He'll want it.
Does it have internet access? And a VERY large freezer with guaranteed electricity?
Ok, I'll have it! What a location!!!
