Talk about a scenic overlook, but I want to see those truckers do that during the winter.
We once drove over Wolf Creek pass, 10,857 feet, in early spring...scary. Chains required, but which we didn't have. Not sure how we made it past the highway patrol.
How could I drive safe in so beautiful mountain?I think I would be so fascinated by the lovely energy from there, it could be dangerous for me! ;) Wonderful picture! Léia
*** a note by little Luna, she is so happy with the new poem!Oh dear Jacob, you are so TALENTED!She is honored by your words!THANKS so much! :)

Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.
Enjoy!

Great shot, Jacob.
Great shot! Don't you love the run away truck ramps along that pass?
Thank goodness you were driving. I was taking sooooo many photos of trucks I love and of the magnificent landscape.
Our road lines are inverted: yellow on the sides and white in the middle.
Love them big trucks---they seem to be able to go anywhere. Scary to meet on a narrow mountain road though. MB
Terrific photo Jacob, but I hope you weren't driving and taking photo at the same time!!!!
Colorado is so pretty!

I would not get too close to those trucks if it was me driving over that pass!
