Colorado in Color
Colorado in Color presents a series of photos, most of which were taken in September and November of 2010. Southwestern Colorado is featured, offering glimpses of the Great Sand Dunes, Gunnison, Leadville, the Royal Gorge, etc.
The photographs were taken primarily by myself and my wife, Lois Anne and are copyrighted by L & L Photography. All rights are reserved.
We have, as of February 2013, added our daughter, Denise Jelonek, a resident of Colorado, as a contributor to this blog. She is an excellent photographer and has many beautiful photographs to share.

The truly impressive as do trees grow between the stones .. lovely view, very beautiful forest of conifers .. cloudless sky that day.
Very hardy people to whack through the mountains, and very hardy plants to find a little crack and hang onto it. Amazing country! It almost looks like a mountain cat sitting there in the shade -- the way the sun hits on the left among the trees. It hardly takes any imagination!

I never did take a train when I lived in Colorado, and I'm sure I would have liked this one. By the way, I believe John Day was not only lost, but also crazy.
It is truly amazing. the rocks fascinate me. Imagine cutting through them without all the modern machinery we have now. WOW!
